Zander founded Shelf Life Distributing from the ground up, building it from a one-person operation into a 24-person cannabis distribution company servicing 50+ dispensaries before ultimately exiting the business for $5.7M.
He led both the business and creative sides of the company, developing the brand identity, packaging, employee uniforms, website, sales materials, product catalogs, retailer presentations, and sales-rep literature. He also designed and physically built out Shelf Life’s headquarters, creating a space that brought the brand to life while supporting its growing sales, operations, and distribution teams.
Shelf Life became a platform for major partnerships and cultural collaborations. Zander worked with Cheech Marin on Cheech’s Stash, collaborated with streetwear brand Pink Dolphin, and secured an exclusive distribution partnership with STIIIZY during the brand’s early growth. Beyond product, he helped build the personalities and stories behind these partnerships by setting up interviews, podcasts, media appearances, content shoots, and cross-brand collaborations that connected the portfolio with larger audiences.
From packaging and creative direction to partnerships, PR, experiential, sales, distribution, and even building the headquarters, Zander had a hand in nearly every part of the company by combining design with entrepreneurship and turning an idea into a scalable business and successful exit.
